House of Innovation

Scope of Work: Multi-Projection, lighting & control systems
House of Innovation is a recognizable landmark in the campus, it’s the first local educational institution with a technology showroom located in the campus and it has received thousands of visitors yearly since its inception.

This project is to upgrade existing system with high definition multi-projection and allow touch panel control system to manage the audiovisual and lighting equipment. The challenge is to project the combined image onto a curve wall without image & color distortion, it required precise measurement of projection distance as well as high level of proficiency in seamless imaging.

Innovation Tower
Scope of Work: Audiovisual, lighting & control systems
The new building located at the north-eastern tip of the University campus, the 14-storey Tower will provide 15,000 square meters of net floor area and can accommodate about 1800 staff and students. BAP provides design that the Tower shall houses all necessary audiovisual equipment and facilities for design education and innovation, including auditorium, design museum, gallery and exhibition spaces, multi-functional classrooms and lecture theatres, design studios and workshop spaces. The system should no longer in traditional analog platform, yet high definition and digital platform shall be employed to cater new device from staff and/or student, such as tablet PC, notebook (with HDMI output) and bluray disc player.

Phase 7 – Lee Shau Kee Building
Scope of Work: Audiovisual & control systems
The phase 7 campus development involved 6 x 120-seats lecture theatres, 20 x 40-seats classrooms and 20 x 80-seats classrooms.

The ICON Teaching Hotel
Scope of Work: Audiovisual, conference, lighting & control systems
Wholly owned by PolyU and an extension of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, Hotel ICON is the first teaching and research hotel of its kind in the world.  The project covers varieties of venue such as banquet hall, wine cellar, teaching café, food production lab, multi-function hall, spa center, restaurants, swimming pool, gym room, library, meeting room, executive lounge as well as classrooms.

Yip Kit Chuen Building – Lecture Theaters
Scope of Work: Audiovisual, conference, auto tracking recording, lighting & control systems
Three lecture theatres TU101, TU103 and TU201 were upgraded to provide high definition of display/projection signal with color touch panel control to handle operation of audiovisual, video conference, recording and lighting systems with a fingertip.
