A comprehensive
teaching and collaboration solution was delivered for EduHK on the entire 16th
floor at M+ West Kowloon, transforming the space into a fully integrated
digital learning hub rather than a collection of classrooms.
The floor now supports modern teaching, hybrid learning, and informal collaboration through an integrated AV and lighting infrastructure.
LED
Three Unilumin 1.56 mm pixel pitch LED walls form the visual centerpiece of the floor, totaling 56m2 of viewing area. With their ultra-fine pitch, these displays provide exceptional clarity for detailed teaching materials, multimedia presentations, and hybrid learning sessions, ensuring sharp visuals and comfortable viewing throughout the learning spaces.
Presentation & Collaboration Systems
Beyond the primary displays, the floor supports a wide range of teaching and collaboration activities.
Projectors and visualizers enable instructors to present digital content alongside physical materials, while dome cameras support lecture capture and remote learning. Wireless screen sharing allows students and presenters to contribute content directly from their own devices, encouraging interactive and collaborative learning.
Digital signage installed throughout the floor provides students with schedules, announcements, and room information, helping coordinate the flow of activity across the learning environment.
Teammate lecterns function as centralized workstations with built-in connectivity for presentation devices, while their collaboration table positioned along the hallway creates a dedicated huddle area where students can plug in laptops and share content for quick discussions and group work between classes.
Audio
Clear communication across the teaching spaces is supported by a distributed audio system with microphones and ceiling speakers. This ensures consistent speech intelligibility throughout the rooms, allowing instructors and participants to be clearly heard whether sessions are delivered in person or captured for remote learning.
Lighting
Complementing the AV infrastructure, the floor incorporates Lutron’s Athena lighting control system with Energi Savr modules and daylight sensors. The system dynamically adjusts illumination in response to occupancy and available daylight, maintaining comfortable visual conditions for teaching while improving overall energy efficiency.
Energi Savr modules act as intelligent controllers that integrate lighting fixtures with occupancy and daylight sensing strategies, allowing lighting levels to respond automatically to how the space is being used.
Signal Infrastructure
All systems are interconnected via AV‑over‑IP, allowing video, audio, and control signals to be routed flexibly across the entire floor. Through a user-friendly touch panel interface, instructors can manage displays, sources, and room functions with ease, making the technology powerful yet intuitive.
Result
The floor is now a cohesive teaching ecosystem where presentation, collaboration, lighting, and communication work together to support modern pedagogies and flexible learning scenarios.
